ProvenCFO is a fractional CFO, controller, bookkeeping and tax firm for American owner-led companies, founded in 2017 and owned by operators who have run companies themselves. We exist for one reason: business leaders should not have to make a financial decision alone.
How we work
Every client runs on the Proven Method: Position, Reset, Operate, Visualize, Execute, Navigate. First we find out where the company really stands. Then we clean up whatever cannot be trusted. Then we run the books on a weekly cadence and a monthly close calendar, put the results in a package you can read in ten minutes, and sit with you while you decide what to do about them.
The firm is deliberately built as a team rather than a person. A bookkeeper does the entry, an American controller reviews it and is your point of contact, a CFO reads it with you. Systems like BILL, Ramp, Gusto and QuickBooks or Xero do the moving of data so people can do the thinking. If someone on our team changes, or you hire in-house one day, the file, the process notes and the forecast go with you.
The people behind the firm have produced board-level reporting for a Fortune 500 company, run dedicated CFO, controller and bookkeeper pods for law firms, construction and restoration companies, and led due diligence and Quality of Earnings work, system migrations, venture fund accounting and sales tax compliance across 40 states. The owners are operators who have run companies themselves.
