Service
A controller who reviews the close and tells you what it means.
Fractional controller services from ProvenCFO add a second set of eyes and a monthly package to your bookkeeping: a reviewed, signed-off close, three to eight KPIs with commentary, budget versus actual, and the packages your bank, surety or investors ask for.

Is this the right level?
- You get financials every month and do not read them, because nobody explains them.
- Your bank or your investors ask for statements and it takes two weeks to answer.
- You want someone to catch the error before you do.
- You are considering a $90,000 to $130,000 in-house controller and would rather test the function first.

Questions
What is the difference between a controller and a CFO?
A controller makes sure the numbers are right and explains what happened. A CFO uses them to decide what happens next: cash forecast, financing, hiring, pricing, exit. Most companies between $3 million and $15 million need the controller first. The guide walks through it.
Does the controller price include bookkeeping?
No. Controller is a layer on top of bookkeeping. Bookkeeping plus controller for a single-entity company usually lands between $1,650 and $3,000 a month. See pricing.
Can you work with my in-house bookkeeper or office manager?
Yes. Many clients keep someone in-house doing daily entry and use us for the review, the close and the package.
Is my controller based in the United States?
Yes. Your controller is American and is your point of contact. Our accounting team does the preparation behind them.
What do lenders usually ask for?
Year-to-date financials, an aged AR and AP, a debt schedule and covenant calculations, plus industry schedules such as a WIP for contractors or a borrowing base for inventory lines. We keep a package format on file for each lender. The bank package guide lists it.
