Questions about price

Why publish prices?

Because the first question every owner asks is 'what does this cost?' and most firms will not answer it until after a sales call. Starting prices let you decide whether to spend 20 minutes with us.

What makes the price go up from the starting point?

Number of entities, transaction volume, inventory, project or client accounting, multistate sales tax, payroll headcount, and how current the books are when we start. We quote a fixed monthly number after a short call and a look at the file.

Is there a contract?

Month to month, 30 days' notice. Cleanup and implementation projects are fixed-price and paid at signing.

What does a typical client pay?

A single-entity company between $2 million and $10 million in revenue, with bookkeeping and controller, usually lands between $1,650 and $3,000 a month. Adding CFO Foundation takes that to roughly $3,000 to $4,500.

How does this compare to hiring?

A full-time controller costs $90,000 to $130,000 a year loaded; a full-time CFO $150,000 to $250,000. Bookkeeping, controller and CFO Foundation from ProvenCFO is about $36,000 to $54,000 a year for a team of three roles.

Do you charge hourly?

Monthly services are fixed-price. Project work (cleanup, implementations, Quality of Earnings) is quoted fixed. We do not bill in six-minute increments.
